King Of The Beat

“King Of The Beat” was released in 1996 as part of Amazon II’s “King Of The Beats / Music’s Hypnotizing” 12-inch on Aphrodite Recordings. The release was an Amazon II production featuring Aphrodite and Tony B. The record was Aphrodite Recordings’ twenty-fourth release and formed part of the label’s mid-1990s club 12-inch run. It became one of Amazon II’s best-known cuts and later appeared in Aphrodite-related catalogues. “King Of The Beat” retained a wider afterlife through Aphrodite’s later album version and its inclusion in the 1999 video game Rollcage. It remains a core Amazon II catalogue track in Aphrodite Recordings reissue and digital listings.
