Body Rock

“Body Rock” was released in 2001 by Shimon & Andy C on RAM Records, with “Orient Express” on the flip side. The track was written and produced by Shimon Alcoby and Andrew Clarke for RAM’s RAMM34 single release. The single became a major RAM Records crossover moment, reaching number 28 on the UK Official Singles Chart and number 1 on the UK Dance Singles Chart. Its swung rhythm and abrasive lead riff made it one of the label’s most divisive but widely recognised early-2000s releases. “Body Rock” remains a signature Shimon & Andy C collaboration and a recurring reference point in discussions of RAM Records’ chart-facing period. Its continued reissues and digital availability have kept it central to the label’s early-2000s catalogue.
