Aí Maluco

“Aí Maluco” was originally released by Drumagick on the 2000 album “Ai Maluco!” through Trama and Sambaloco Records, with DJ Marky’s remix appearing on the same album and on DJ Marky’s “Audio Architecture” mix. The Drumagick album credits Guilherme Lopes and JrDeep for writing and production at Hangar 15 in São Paulo, with mixing by Daniel Krotoszynski, Guilherme Lopes and JrDeep at Trama Studios. DJ Marky’s remix helped carry the Brazilian drum-and-bass sound into international mix-CD circulation through “Audio Architecture.” The track sat within the early Sambaloco and Trama Records period that documented São Paulo’s turn-of-the-century drum-and-bass scene. “Aí Maluco” remains one of Drumagick’s signature early tracks and one of the Brazilian productions associated with DJ Marky’s first “Audio Architecture” mix. Its continued digital availability keeps the DJ Marky remix linked to the formative Sambaloco catalogue.
