Circles

Adam F · 1995
Recording

Adam F recorded Circles as an early solo production built around jazz-funk source material and issued it first on Section 5 in 1995. The later 1997 F-Jams and Positiva campaign added Roni Size and Andy C remixes and connected the track to the Colours album cycle. First released in 1995, the track became Adam F's breakthrough record and one of the best-known melodic drum and bass singles of the period. Its 1997 reissue reached number 20 on the UK Official Singles Chart and number one on the UK Official Dance Singles Chart. The track remains Adam F's signature early production and a widely cited example of jazz-influenced drum and bass reaching a wider audience. Later reworks, including Circles Revisited, kept it active as a reference point in drum and bass history.
