Run Run Run

Run Run Run

Phoenix · 2003
Recording

The track was recorded for Alphabetical with Thomas Mars, Deck d Arcy, Christian Mazzalai and Laurent Brancowitz. Phoenix produced the recording, with Tony Hoffer credited as co producer and mixer during the album sessions recorded in 2003 and 2004. Released as a single in 2004, it introduced Alphabetical and continued Phoenix move from the French touch associated sound of United toward more polished song based pop. The single became one of the album key tracks in the band pre Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix period. It remains a recognizable early Phoenix single and a marker of the band transition into the smoother studio style of Alphabetical. The song continues to appear in retrospectives of the group early 2000s catalogue.
