Here Comes That Beat! (12" Single Version)

Released in 1984 as a Profile Records 12-inch by Pumpkin and the Profile All-Stars. The release credits Pumpkin as producer, and a Discogs-derived listing ties the session to Studio 95 with engineer Dave Ogrin. The track was positioned as a club-oriented Profile single in 1984 and drew attention in trade coverage. Billboard listed it among new 12-inch releases, which reflected its profile in the early hip-hop and dance market. It became one of Pumpkin’s best-known records and later turned into a heavily sampled break-era staple. WhoSampled lists it as sampled in 41 songs, showing its long afterlife in hip-hop and dance music.
