Holding Back My Love

Tensnake · 2009

Recording

Tensnake released Holding Back My Love as Holding Back (My Love) on the In The End (I Want You To Cry) EP in 2009. The track was written and produced by Marco Niemerski and issued on Running Back. Holding Back My Love was part of the Running Back EP that gave Tensnake his first major wave of underground club acclaim before Coma Cat. The release helped establish his profile within late-2000s European house and disco-oriented club circles. Holding Back My Love remains one of Tensnake's key pre-Coma Cat records and later received remix treatment from Tiger & Woods, Prins Thomas, Shan, Pete Herbert, Dicky Trisco, and DJ Oyster. Its continued remix and compilation circulation kept the track active beyond its original 2009 release.
