Natural Disaster

It was recorded primarily at the Beech House in Nashville over a five-month period, with additional recording in Chicago and Minneapolis. Andrew Bird self-produced the album and worked with Martin Dosh, Jeremy Ylvisaker, Mike Lewis, Kelly Hogan, and Loney Dear on the surrounding sessions. The track appeared on Noble Beast, released on January 20, 2009, as Bird's fifth solo studio album. The album was met with generally favorable reviews, and the song fit its detailed, intimate production style. Natural Disaster remains part of Noble Beast, one of Andrew Bird's most respected 2009 releases, and continues to be heard as part of his core solo catalog. The song has no documented national chart history.
