Starlite

Paul Weller released Starlite as a standalone single on Island Records in 2011. The track was produced by Paul Weller and Simon Dine and later appeared on the 2012 album Sonik Kicks. Starlite marked Weller's return after Wake Up the Nation and introduced the more rhythmic, electronic-leaning direction that led into Sonik Kicks. The single reached the UK Top 100 and was issued with remixes by Drop Out Orchestra, Black Van, and D-Pulse. Starlite remains part of Paul Weller's early-2010s catalogue and a notable bridge between his experimental late-2000s work and Sonik Kicks. Its remix package gave the song a wider club-facing afterlife beyond his core rock and soul audience.
