Pink on White Walls

Recorded at The Manor Studio in Oxfordshire during sessions for Stanley Road. Paul Weller and Brendan Lynch produced the track, with Steve White on drums, Mark Nelson on bass and Steve Winwood on piano. Released on Stanley Road in 1995, the track contributed to the album's mixture of British rock, soul and rhythm-and-blues influences. Its prominent Hammond organ and piano arrangement reflected Weller's renewed commercial and critical prominence during the mid-1990s. The song remains a recognised album track from Weller's most commercially successful solo period. It has also appeared in BBC session collections and expanded reissues of Stanley Road.
