Dub Specialist · 1995
Recording

Recorded in Kingston, Jamaica, at Studio One for Clement “Coxsone” Dodd’s dub catalog. The track belongs to the Studio One dub tradition assembled from classic reggae rhythms and later issued under the Dub Specialist name. The track served as a stark Studio One dub flip side, stripping a familiar rhythm down to bass, drums, and echo. It reinforced Dodd’s role in shaping the label’s dub identity and the broader Studio One sound. It remains a recognized Studio One dub cut and has been reissued on Soul Jazz and related compilations. The track has also been sampled and circulated by dub collectors beyond its original Jamaican context.
