Glen Brown/King Tubby · 1978
Recording

Recorded in Jamaica in the late 1970s during Glen Brown’s Love On The Scene/Death In The Arena period and mixed at King Tubby’s studio in Kingston by King Tubby. Glen Brown produced the rhythm track, with the dub version issued from that session work. The track stands as a classic Glen Brown and King Tubby dub cut from the formative late-1970s Jamaican dub era. It was documented on Blood and Fire’s Termination Dub set and later circulated through reissues and compilations as one of Brown’s signature instrumental versions. The track remained in circulation through dub reissue culture and digital re-use, including placement on later compilations and in the soundtrack to Marc Ecko’s Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure. It continues to be cited as a key Glen Brown/King Tubby version in dub histories and track listings.
