The Rasses · 1980
Recording

The track was recorded for the Royal Rasses dub album God Sent Dub, the dub counterpart to Prince Lincoln Thompson and the Rasses’ Natural Wild material. The dub mixes were made at TMC Recording Studio in Tooting, London by Chris Lane. Released in 1980, the track belongs to the small-run God Sent Dub album, a rare UK dub companion to the Rasses’ roots vocal work. The album documented Prince Lincoln Thompson’s London-era production circle after the group’s late-1970s Ballistic and United Artists releases. The track remains in circulation through later God Sent Dub reissues and digital editions. It preserves the Royal Rasses’ UK roots material in dub form and reflects the London studio network around Chris Lane and TMC.
