Robin Hood

Cry Tuff & The Originals · 1979
Recording

The track was produced for Prince Far I’s Cry Tuff label as the version side to Jennifer Lara’s “Music By The Score.” It was credited to Cry Tuff & The Originals, the studio-band name used on Prince Far I’s dub and rhythm sides. Released in 1979, the track formed part of the late-1970s Cry Tuff catalogue that paired vocal sides with dub versions. It documented Prince Far I’s independent production work outside his better-known vocal albums and Dub Encounter releases. The track remains in circulation through Cry Tuff reissues and later digital reggae-dub compilations. It preserves one of the label’s roots-era version sides connected to Jennifer Lara’s vocal recording.
