Chieftains of Dub

The track came from The Dubateers’ early UK sessions connected with Dougie Wardrop’s Conscious Sounds studio, where Nick Dubateers developed the group’s digital dub productions. It was issued as the A-side of a UK 10-inch single backed with “Steppas Delight.” Released in 2006, the record was part of The Dubateers’ first wave of independent UK dub vinyl and helped establish their name in the sound-system circuit. Its 10-inch Dubplate Sounds release positioned the group within the mid-2000s UK steppers revival. The record remains a sought-after Dubateers title among UK dub collectors and sound-system followers. It represents the group’s early heavy digital style before their later Dubplate Collection releases and collaborations.
