Seven Nation Army

The track was recorded by Nostalgia 77, the project of producer Ben Lamdin, with Alice Russell providing lead vocals. It was released through Tru Thoughts as a reworked version of the White Stripes song Seven Nation Army. Released in 2004, it became one of Nostalgia 77 most widely circulated recordings and brought Alice Russell voice to a broader crossover audience. Though not a charting single, it stood out as a notable independent label reinterpretation of a recent rock hit. It remains one of the best known cover versions of Seven Nation Army and a signature track in the Tru Thoughts catalogue. The recording has endured through compilations, DJ sets and continued interest in Alice Russell collaborations.
