Have You Ever Seen the Rain

Recorded for Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Pendulum sessions at Wally Heider Studios in San Francisco in late 1970, with John Fogerty handling the production and arrangement. It was issued as a double A-side single with “Hey Tonight.” It was the only single from Pendulum and became a Top 10 U.S. hit, peaking at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song arrived as CCR were nearing the end of their run, and it quickly became one of the band’s defining singles. The track remains one of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s best-known songs and has stayed in heavy rotation through covers, compilations, films, and streaming-era rediscovery. Its enduring popularity is reflected in its continued visibility and large modern audience.
