Roland's Jam

Funkineven released Rolands Jam as a 2011 12-inch on Eglo Records. The track was produced by Steven Julien and grew from sessions using a Roland MC-202 and TR-707. Rolands Jam marked Funkineven's first official release of 2011 and his fourth single for Eglo Records. DJ Mag highlighted the track's machine-built acid and funk character around its July 2011 release. Rolands Jam remains one of Funkineven's best-known Eglo releases and a key early Steven Julien record before the expansion of his Apron imprint. Its hardware-driven structure helped define his reputation for raw, tempo-shifting club tracks.
