Recorded by Belgian duo Maarten Elen and Jonas Kiesekoms under the Mumbai Science name, and issued as the A1 lead track on the Gold EP with remixes by Noob and NT89. The EP was released on Lektroluv Records in November 2010. Gold was the track that pushed Mumbai Science into wider club circulation in 2010. Contemporary coverage described it as their breakthrough record, and it quickly became a set staple for high-profile electronic DJs. The track remained one of Mumbai Science’s signature pieces and continued to circulate through DJ support and later compilations. It also helped establish the duo’s profile for subsequent releases on Lektroluv and beyond.
