Echo dub

The track was recorded for Kanka’s album Alert, released in France in 2006, with Kanka credited alongside Brother Culture on digital releases. The writing and composition credits list Alexis Langlois and Simon Fajemisin. The track closed Alert, Kanka’s second full-length album for the Hammerbass circle, issued during his early run of French digital dub releases. Contemporary coverage framed the album as heavy hard-stepper material built for sound-system bass weight. The track remains one of the better-circulated cuts from Alert on streaming and Kanka’s own catalogue pages. It documents Kanka’s mid-2000s Rouen dub sound before his later Sub.mersion and Dub Communication releases expanded his profile.
