Recording

Recorded in Berlin under the Rootdown Records iLove riddim project and issued as the instrumental cut credited to TEKA. The release is attributed to Thilo “Teka” Jacks, Rootdown’s producer-founder. The track served as the instrumental backbone of the iLove riddim selection, a multi-artist reggae compilation released by Rootdown Records in 2008. It anchored a release that paired one riddim with songs by Ziggi Recado, Luciano, Anthony B, Jah Mason, Natty King, and others. The cut remained part of Rootdown’s riddim catalog and is still listed in riddim databases as the source instrumental for the iLove selection. It has continued to circulate in reggae and dancehall catalogues as the backing track for the compilation’s vocal versions.
