Get The Party Started Sweet Dreams (feat. Redman)(remix ver.)

This track is a remix mashup combining P!nk's 'Get the Party Started' (2001, produced by Linda Perry) with the melody of 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)' by Eurythmics, with an added verse from rapper Redman; the original 'Get the Party Started' was recorded at the Record Plant in Los Angeles during sessions for P!nk's second album 'M!ssundaztood'. The remix circulated as a promotional and DJ-oriented release rather than an official commercial single, capitalising on the massive chart success of 'Get the Party Started', which reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and number two on the UK Singles Chart in 2001–2002 and became one of the defining pop-rock crossover hits of that period. The mashup format of this remix reflects the early 2000s bootleg and DJ remix culture that flourished around commercially successful singles; the underlying 'Get the Party Started' remains one of P!nk's signature recordings and a landmark Linda Perry production, while this version extends its life in club and radio contexts.
