You Are My High

Produced by French electronic producer Jérémie Mondon (Demon) in collaboration with Heartbreaker, released on Demon's own 20000ST label with distribution through Sony Music France. The track samples vocal elements from The Gap Band's 1979 recording "You Are My High" and incorporates elements from their "Oops Upside Your Head," with artwork by the French graphics studio H5. A standout single from Demon's debut album Midnight Funk, the track became a defining release of the French Touch movement, earning rave reviews in NME, i-D, Magic, and Groove Germany. The accompanying music video, depicting a couple kissing throughout, received nominations at the Victoires de la Musique and the MTV Music Awards. DJ Snake revived the track with a 2021 remix featuring Future that peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and amassed over 220 million Spotify streams. The original received a 25th anniversary remastered vinyl reissue in 2024, limited to 1,500 numbered copies.
