Dirty Talk

Klein & M.B.O. · 1982

Recording

Dirty Talk was produced by Mario Boncaldo and Tony Carrasco, with co-arrangement by Davide Piatto. It was recorded at Sky Record Studio in Forlì, Italy, and first released in 1982. The duo's debut single became an influential import in New York and Chicago clubs. Its sequenced rhythms helped shape the musical vocabulary of Chicago's emerging club scene. Its arrangement influenced New Order's Blue Monday, and Miss Kittin and The Hacker covered it in 1998. Pet Shop Boys and Röyksopp later selected it for their Back to Mine compilations.
