Careless (Original Mix)

Recorded and released by Dusky, the London duo of Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman, as the title track of the Careless EP on Aus Music. The original release credits the duo as the producers and also lists the track’s composition and production under their names. The track served as the lead statement from the Careless EP and was presented by Aus Music as a rugged, dancefloor-focused update of Dusky’s house-and-techno approach. It became a defining release for the duo and later earned the reputation of a scene landmark. Careless remains one of Dusky’s signature records, with Beatport later describing it as the track that cemented their place in the scene and noting more than 14 million streams. It continues to be cited as a definitive UK house record of its era.
