Suspense was produced and mixed by Jeff Mills and Robert Hood, originally appearing under their H&M alias on the 1993 Drama EP. The track formed part of Mills and Hood’s early collaborative work for Axis, alongside their Tranquilizer EP. Suspense featured in Mills’s celebrated Live at Liquid Room mix and later launched the Axis Classic Series through its reissue alongside Dramatized.
