Until We Bleed

Recorded during the 2007 and 2008 sessions for Kleerup's self-titled debut album, with Andreas Kleerup creating the instrumental production and Lykke Li supplying the lead vocal and lyrics. The arrangement combines programmed percussion, synthesizers and strings. The collaboration became one of the most acclaimed tracks on Kleerup's debut album and appeared in Pitchfork's list of the 100 best tracks of 2008. It also extended Lykke Li's international profile during the release of her debut album. The track remains a prominent example of the Swedish electronic-pop collaborations that defined Kleerup's debut. Its melancholy vocal and string-led arrangement have sustained its presence in playlists, television placements and later sampling.
