Ben E. King · 1978Recording
Recorded for Ben E. King’s 1978 Atlantic album Let Me Live in Your Life. The album sessions took place at ABC Recording Studios, Kendun Recorders, Daily Planet Recording Studio, and Blank Tape Studios, with King on lead vocals and production on the track credited to Bettye Crutcher and Jim Stewart. The song was one of the album’s new tracks and helped frame King’s late-1970s move into a contemporary soul sound. It appears on the 1978 Atlantic release Let Me Live in Your Life and was part of the record’s modern, dance-oriented material. The track has remained in circulation through digital reissues and streaming, and it was later covered by The Main Ingredient. That cover has kept the song visible beyond King’s original album context.
