The Symphony, Pt. II (D.J. Delight)

Recorded during the In Control Volume II sessions at House Of Hits in Chestnut Ridge New York, the track reunited Marley Marl with Masta Ace, Craig G, Big Daddy Kane and Kool G Rap and added Little Daddy Shane. The DJ Delight version appeared on the 1991 The Symphony Pt II single alongside Crispy Version, Original Recipe, Instrumental and Extra Crispy mixes. Released by Cold Chillin and Warner Bros in 1991, The Symphony Pt II served as the sequel to Marleys landmark Juice Crew posse cut The Symphony. The single reached number 9 on Billboard Hot Rap Songs and tied the In Control Volume II album back to Marley Marls late 1980s crew legacy. The track remains a late Juice Crew document that brought several major Marley Marl affiliated emcees back onto one record. Its place on In Control Volume II makes it a direct continuation of one of hip hops defining posse cut templates.
