Stylo (feat. Mos Def and Bobby Womack)

Recorded at Studio 13 in London and Chung King Studios in New York, the track combines Damon Albarn's production with Mos Def's verses and Bobby Womack's improvised vocals. Jason Cox and Stephen Sedgwick engineered the recording, with Cox mixing. Released in January 2010 as Plastic Beach's lead single, it introduced the album's expansive collaborations. Critics particularly praised Womack's intense vocal performance. Its desert car-chase video featuring Bruce Willis earned a 2011 Grammy nomination for Best Short Form Music Video. The collaboration also preceded Albarn's production work on Womack's comeback album The Bravest Man in the Universe.
