Recorded at The Ironworks in Brighton for Prince Fatty featuring Shniece's Disco Deception project. Prince Fatty produced and mixed the recording, with Shniece McMenamin providing the lead vocal and Frank Merritt mastering the release at The Carvery. Released by Evergreen Recordings in 2020, 90% of Me Is You appeared on Disco Deception, a collection of reggae and dub reworkings of disco, soul, and pop material. The track reinterpreted Gwen McCrae's 1974 soul recording within Prince Fatty's vintage reggae production style. The recording remains part of Prince Fatty's cover-led Disco Deception catalogue and a representative example of his dub approach to soul and dance music. Its later inclusion on the Lovedub Limited full-length pressing kept the track in circulation among reggae rework and lovers-rock listeners.
