Think It Over

Recorded at Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, on October 11, 1967, as part of the Viva Soul sessions. Harvey Averne is credited on the session, with Marty Sheller as arranger. The track appeared on the 1968 Atlantic LP Viva Soul and became one of the album’s best-known cuts. It was later treated as a Northern Soul favorite and was included on later compilations of the style. Think It Over has remained in circulation through Northern Soul compilations and streaming playlists, which kept it visible well beyond its original Atlantic release. Its continued appearance on compilation sets shows its lasting appeal among collectors and dance-music listeners.
