Written and produced by Thomas Coveney and Daniel McLewin, Where Are We? opened Psychemagik's independently released Lunar Escape EP. The duo created the EP entirely from original material without samples or edits. The release demonstrated Psychemagik's original songwriting after they had established a reputation through edits and remixes. Crack praised the opening track's synthesizer-led arrangement and rated the EP 16 out of 20.
