Let It Roll

Let It Roll

Doug Lazy · 1989
Recording

Doug Lazy recorded the track in Vaughan Mason’s home studio, working with Mason’s Raze banner and drawing on the hip-house blend that defined his early singles. Doug Finley is credited as the songwriter, and Doug Lazy is credited as producer on the original release. Released in 1989, the single helped establish Doug Lazy as a major hip-house name and became his first U.S. dance chart topper. It circulated widely in clubs and was issued under the credit Raze presents Doug Lazy. The track remains one of Doug Lazy’s signature records and is still recognized as a classic of late-1980s hip-house. Its sampled, club-driven arrangement kept it in circulation with DJs and later dance reissues.
