Tarantula

“Tarantula” was recorded in 2005 for Pendulum’s debut album “Hold Your Colour” and released as part of the double A-side single “Tarantula / Fasten Your Seatbelt.” The track was written and produced by Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen and Dan “Fresh” Stein, with vocals by Colin “$pyda” Griffith and Jonathan “Tenor Fly” Sutter. The single was released by Breakbeat Kaos in June 2005 and reached number 60 on the UK Official Singles Chart. It helped push Pendulum’s early album campaign into wider club and chart circulation before “Slam” became their larger crossover hit. “Tarantula” remains one of Pendulum’s most recognisable early tracks and a staple from the “Hold Your Colour” era. Its later appearances in television and video-game soundtracks extended its reach beyond the original Breakbeat Kaos single.
