Sense of Danger

Sense of Danger

Presence · 1998
Recording

Sense Of Danger was recorded by Presence, Charles Webster's production project, with Shara Nelson on featured vocals and songwriting. The original release credits Charles Webster as producer, writer, editor and mastering contributor, with Sara Jay on backing vocals and Paul K. Joyce on Fender Rhodes. The single became Presence's first UK chart entry and one of the standout tracks from the All Systems Gone period. Its Pagan release linked Webster's song-based club production with Shara Nelson's post-Massive Attack vocal presence. Sense Of Danger remained one of Presence's signature records and returned through later remix packages. Reworks by Futureshock, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Calibre and Rob Mello kept the track active in club catalogues beyond its original release.
