Recording

Alan Braxe and Fred Falke recorded the track in Paris around 1999–2000 after Braxe’s Stardust breakthrough. It was built around a sample from The Jets’ “Crush on You,” with Falke contributing the bass line and Braxe shaping the arrangement on Vulture Music. Released in 2000, it became one of the defining French house records of its era and a key early statement from Braxe and Falke as a duo. In the UK it reached No. 35 on the Official Singles Chart and No. 3 on the Official Dance Singles Chart. The track has endured as a cult French house classic and remained influential enough to earn a 25th-anniversary reissue with new remixes. It continues to be cited as a touchstone of the French Touch scene and appears in sample and remix histories across dance music.
