Come Off (Southern Comfort mix)

Recorded in 1988 and 1989 for Stone Cold Rhymin' at Matt Dike's apartment in Santa Monica, California. Young MC performed the track with N'Dea Davenport on vocals, while Matt Dike and Michael Ross handled production, arrangement, and mixing. Released in 1990 as a single from Stone Cold Rhymin', it followed Bust a Move and Principal's Office during Young MC's platinum debut run. The single reached number 75 on the Billboard Hot 100 and extended Delicious Vinyl's mainstream rap visibility. The Southern Comfort Mix remains a documented remix from the Stone Cold Rhymin' era and a collector-noted 12-inch version. The track preserves Young MC's clear, punchline-driven delivery beyond his two biggest crossover singles.
