Recorded for The Analogue Theatre and issued in 1996 on Internal; the track was written by CJ Bolland and Kris Vanderheyden, with Jade 4U on vocals and Vanderheyden credited as co-producer and engineer. The single became CJ Bolland’s biggest commercial release, reaching No. 11 on the UK Singles Chart and spending five weeks on the chart. It also broke through on the US dance market, where Billboard archives show it as a Dance Club Play number one in late 1996. The song remained a durable club record, with later compilations and remixes continuing to circulate, including Armand Van Helden mixes that kept it present in garage and dance sets. Its sample base and crossover success also made it a touchstone for late-1990s rave-to-mainstream electronic crossover.
