Nothing Compares 2 U

Stanryck and Uni'verss recorded this reggae cover for the digital compilation 80s Go Reggae, with Stanryck and Uni'verss credited as performers and Devon Bradshaw, Prezident Brown, and Beezy Coleman credited on production. The song is a cover of Prince's composition "Nothing Compares 2 U." The track appeared as part of an 80s-themed reggae cover project, turning one of Prince's best-known compositions into a lounge-reggae interpretation. It was issued digitally and circulated as a compilation cut rather than as a standalone chart single. It extends the long cover history of "Nothing Compares 2 U," a song that has remained a durable source for reinterpretation across styles. This version adds to the record of reggae adaptations of 1980s pop repertoire.
