Lord Jazz Hit Me One Time (Make It Funky)

Recorded and mixed at Marleys House Of Hits in New York for the 1993 Here Come The Lords album and single campaign, the track featured Lords Of The Underground with Lord Jazz providing all cuts. K Def produced the record, Marley Marl mixed it and Frank Heller engineered the session. Released by Pendulum in 1993, Lord Jazz Hit Me One Time Make It Funky functioned as a DJ showcase on the Here Come The Lords single. It highlighted Lord Jazz as a core musical presence within the group beyond the lead emcees DoItAll and Mr Funke. The track remains a specialist album and twelve inch cut from Lords Of The Undergrounds debut era. Its documented Marley Marl and MC Shan scratch sample links it back to earlier Juice Crew turntable language.
