Thank You was recorded for BeBe Winans's self-titled Atlantic solo album, with the MAW 12-inch mix produced and remixed by Masters at Work. The single credits BeBe Winans, Rhett Lawrence and Travon Potts as writers, with Kenny Dope Gonzalez and Louie Vega handling the club production. The MAW 12-inch mix placed Winans's gospel-rooted vocal style inside the New York vocal club sound of the late 1990s. It became one of the key dance-floor versions from his Atlantic solo period. Thank You remained in circulation through later Masters at Work and Defected digital compilations. The remix stands as an example of the duo's crossover work with major-label R&B and gospel vocalists.
