Your Sweetness Is My Weakness

Barry White recorded Your Sweetness Is My Weakness between June and August 1978 for the album The Man. White wrote, arranged, and produced the track for his Soul Unlimited production, with Frank Kejmar and Paul Elmore credited as engineers on the single release. Your Sweetness Is My Weakness was issued by 20th Century Fox Records in September 1978 as the lead single from The Man. It reached number 60 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 2 on Billboard's R&B chart, and number 16 on Billboard's dance chart. The track remained one of Barry White's late-1970s signature singles and a staple of his post-20th Century catalogue. Its long-form arrangement preserved the lush orchestral style that defined White's crossover soul productions.
