Recording

Recorded in the early 1990s by Bahamian musician Ray Munnings as a disco-era reworking of the classic song he originally co-wrote and recorded with The Beginning of the End. The recording revisited the Nassau groove that had made him internationally known two decades earlier. The release reintroduced one of the defining songs of Bahamian popular music to club and rare-groove audiences during the resurgence of interest in vintage funk and disco recordings. The recording helped keep the Funky Nassau repertoire active for a new generation of DJs and collectors while reinforcing Ray Munnings' status as a central figure in Bahamian music history.
