Everybody Loves The Sunshine - Full Intention Mix

Full Intention recorded Everybody Loves The Sunshine as Michael Gray and Jon Pearn's house version of Roy Ayers' 1976 song. The original Sugar Daddy Records release credits Ernestine Pearce and Xavier on vocals, with Roy Ayers credited as writer. The single was issued by Sugar Daddy Records in 1998 and reached the UK Official Singles Chart in October that year. It also reached the UK Dance Singles Chart, placing Full Intention's Roy Ayers remake in the late-1990s UK club crossover market. Everybody Loves The Sunshine remained part of Full Intention's late-1990s catalogue through later Altra Moda and digital editions. Its use of a widely loved Roy Ayers composition keeps it tied to the long afterlife of jazz-funk material in house music.
