Never Forget

Issued in 1999 on Strictly Rhythm as Hardrive 2000 featuring Lynae, the track was a Louie Vega project from the Strictly Rhythm/Hardrive alias family. The original 12-inch appeared in club formats including the Dance Ritual Mix, Bonus Beats, Strictly Dub, Keyappella, and Acapella versions. The track extended Louie Vega’s Hardrive run on Strictly Rhythm and circulated as a deep-house club record rather than a mainstream crossover single. Contemporary house coverage praised it as a strong Louie Vega release, and industry roundups placed it among notable Strictly Rhythm titles from the era. It remained in circulation through later compilations and reissues, and it has been sampled by later artists. Its association with Vega’s Hardrive alias has also helped keep it in discussions of classic New York house.
