Love Design

Kinsman Dazz recorded Love Design for the 1979 album Dazz at Filmways and Wally Heider Studios. The track was written by Isaac Wiley, Robert Harris, and Wayne Preston, with Kenny Pettus, Michael Calhoun, Reggie Stewart, Michael Wiley, Isaac Wiley, Bobby Harris, Wayne Preston, Les Thaler, and Ed Myers in the core band lineup. Love Design appeared on Kinsman Dazz's second album for 20th Century Records, released before the group shortened its name to Dazz Band. The album reached number 62 on Billboard's Top R&B Albums chart, while the track became a favorite among UK soul collectors. Love Design remained a specialist late-1970s Kinsman Dazz title through the 2012 Kinsman Dazz / Dazz reissue. It documents the group's pre-Motown sound before the Dazz Band's later commercial breakthrough.
