Brother to Brother · 1977
Recording

Recorded in New Jersey for Turbo Records during Brother to Brother’s late-1970s run on the All Platinum label family. Billy Jones is credited on the group’s 1977 Turbo work as producer and arranger, with the band cut in a tight studio ensemble format. The track sits in the group’s disco-era shift from rawer funk into a smoother, club-ready sound. It reflected the New Jersey soul scene’s move toward extended dance grooves and rare-groove appeal. It remains part of Brother to Brother’s catalog that collectors and DJs return to for its deep, dancefloor-focused feel. The group’s Turbo-era recordings have stayed visible through reissues and specialist soul/funk playlists.
