Arrow · 1984
Recording

It was recorded for Arrow’s 1984 Soca Savage era with Alphonsus “Phonsie” Cassell on vocals and production, working with arranger Leston Paul. The original release credits place it within Arrow’s London Records period. The single extended Arrow’s international breakthrough beyond "Hot Hot Hot" and became a UK top 30 hit in 1985. It helped bring soca to a wider pop audience at a moment when Caribbean crossover records were still rare in the British charts. The track remains one of Arrow’s best-known recordings and a staple of soca compilations and retrospectives. Its chart success continues to stand as one of the genre’s clearest crossover moments outside the Caribbean.
