Like Ah Boss

Released on December 26, 2014, as a lead Carnival-season single for Monk Monté. It was produced by Deputy, co-produced by London Future and Machel Montano, with additional production by Full Blown Entertainment and live horn parts from Roy Cape All Stars members. The track became one of the defining songs of Trinidad and Tobago’s 2015 Carnival season. It helped drive Machel Montano’s run to the 2015 Power Soca Monarch title and was widely received as a peak fete anthem. "Like Ah Boss" remains one of Machel Montano’s signature soca records and a staple of Carnival playlists. Its popularity extended well beyond Trinidad and Tobago through streaming, club play, and later retrospective coverage of Montano’s career.
